S L O W D O W N
SLOW DANCE
Have you ever
watched
kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to
the
rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a
butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the
fading
night?
You better
slow down.
Don't
dance so
fast.
Time is short.
The music
won't
last.
Do you run through each day
On
the
fly?
Then you ask How are you?
Do you hear
the
reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie
in your
bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through
your head?
You'd better
slow down
Don't dance so
fast.
Time is
short.
The music won't
last.
Ever told your
child,
We'll do it
tomorrow?
And in your
haste,
Not see
his
sorrow?
Ever lost
touch,
Let a good
friendship die
Cause you
never had time
To call
and say,'Hi'
You'd
better slow down.
Don't dance
so fast.
Time
is short.
The music won't
last.
When you run
so fast to get somewhere
You
miss half the fun of getting
there.
When you worry and hurry
through your
day,
It is like an unopened
gift....
Thrown
away.
Life is not a
race.
Do take it
slower
Hear the
music
Before the song is
over.

I Say This Not Lightly
The time has come to blog about this.
For what else is a blog for?
Is it needless shouting into the void? Is it direct communication to those you know read it? Or is it rather a form of definite proclamation for the mind of the writer. A proverbial door in which to firm the intellect by nailing the hypothetical 95 thesis as Luther of old. It is here to this public area, for all to see, that I afix the newfound steadfastness of that which once was nothing more than a nebulous dream.
A girl has stolen my heart.
And lest you see this as the needless driveling of yet another emotional basket-case, driven mad by that cultural misunderstanding we call love, listen here. There comes once in very rare circumstances the aligning of two hearts and two souls. The melding of two who from creation were meant as one. This is in the process of happening. Rejoice with me, readers, for I have found a great treasure.
Rachel.
With a deapth of heart never to be rivaled, and an art expansive enough to touch a multitude of souls, this member of the insane elect of Jesus-artists has the soul of a warrior of Spartanian dimentions. She has fought and overcome every obstacle and daily proves the raw courage of her gifted being. Her love is fierce, scaling the most difficult and impossible to reach and care, and feel. her worship sincere, her beliefs strong, her hands and mind skilled. Her grace and kindness often convict me of the hardness of my heart, as I see her eyes fly to the soul of each human in front of her, seeing the pain beneath the mask, and hurting with those that are wounded.
She hopes with a hope that is rooted in eternity, for nothing of this world could cling so tightly to belief in the midst of the raging storm of life. But she holds, and she hopes, far beyond what should be as a human.
I love her.
This could drag on most indefinitely did i endevour to portray the beauty of this treasure that has been gifted to me. In every way fearless and loving, I eagerly await what our Father-God has in store. One thing is for certain. The earth shall tremble, and the powers of darkness quiver as a new team, a new force, and a new tool is forged in the hands of The Almighty.
I love Rachel Fernandez.
